Breakfast of champions - and the birthday girl

The below is the first, and potentially last thing on the 'food' section that could have been written by Pippa.
It is the breakfast she makes me every birthday, anniversary or special occasion and it is blog worthy!
It is called 'egg in the basket' and it is deliciously simple (and certainly NOT on the 1400 calorie list). Cut a hole in a piece of brioche (or toast if you're watching your arteries), pack a frying pan full of butter and pan fry both the hole and the brioche slice. Crack an egg into the hole and be patient. Flip it too early and you will have a disaster. Flip it too late and you will have ash. Get it right and you have a runny egg yolk surrounded by buttery brioche with EXTRA butter brioche for dipping. Drool.
