To start off I should probably say that I am one of the biggest fan’s of Naughty Dog and their games, I LOVED Uncharted, so much so that the second there was talk of remastering them I bought them, hell I got a PS4 just to play Uncharted 4. I have never turned back since then.
I think the thing I love about them the most is the character development, for example in the first game, Joel is a proper grumpy man (understandably to be honest) but he softens and as he does you become more involved in the game and how the characters interact with each other. You start to know more about Ellie and the more you understand Joel’s insane urge to constantly protect her.
Onto the new game, which I had been looking forward to as soon as I finished the remastered version of The Last of Us, I knew I needed more of these characters. This game is scary like I know that some people might not have found it that way, but it was. Jumpscare to the extreme. Like the GIF below. Yoh.
And SPOILER, but the Hospital, that took courage yo. That was hard work. Besides the fact that every time I crawled under something I was scared, this game was amazing. A lot more graphic than the first one (Kate did not enjoy that aspect of it) with the stealth kills. I really enjoyed the relationship between Ellie and Dana and yes I am still sad about what happens. I like how we got to see the world after a while, like how people are rebuilding. Both Jackson and the stadium in Seattle are arguably my favourite parts.
I think the combat was a lot slicker in this, you really needed to be smart, no running straight at the person with a gun. They. Will. Shoot. You. I also loved how you could upgrade your gun at the workbench and the gun was actually taken apart. The details in this game are magnificent and I know that there are many many many videos on Youtube about all the details… I would know… I have watched them.
As a game, would I replay it? In a heartbeat!
So to finish off, here are some of my questions for you: to
